Peachy Keen Stamp Challenge: 13-22 : Sketch

TGIF! Are you ready for another fun Peachy Keen Stamp Challenge? I sure hope so because Dobea has created a great sketch for this week. We would love for you to come play along!! All you have to do is create a project using your Peachy Keen Stamps based on the sketch below and enter it by the deadline. Easy Peasy! Can't wait to see what you all create!!!!

Here is my take on the sketch:

I decided to with father's day coming up it was time I started creating some cards for this special day. It always seems tougher for me to make masculine cards. Plus, most men I know don't really care for all the bells and whistles. So I tried to create a pretty simple card that plainly conveys the message.

Even though it is a pretty simple card, I got to work with a lot of the Peachy Keen Stamps (this makes me very happy). As you may have seen on my other projects, I love to used a combination of different PK stamps. The possibilities are endless this way!

For the dad, I used PK-680- Retro Paper Doll Face Assortment. I then filled in the glasses with Glossy Accents and his mouth with a Blush Copic Marker.

For the little boy, I used PK-642 Boy Mates Face Assortment. I used a white gel pen to accent the eyes. I chalked his cheeks as well as the dad's.

This adorable father/son die cut is from SVG Cutting Files. They have so many great cutting files that your Peachy Keen Stamps would go perfectly with.

For the "DAD' letters, I used PK-156 Lucy's ABC's and 123's Solids. The die cuts come from My Creative time.

The sentiment comes from PKSC-05 May 2012. The die cut is was stamped on also is from My Creative Time. The shadow layer was cut out from Cricut's Art Philosophy Cartridge. I wrapped the sentiment with American Crafts Blue Baker's Twine.

I also used PKSC-05 May 2012 to create the ribbon emebellishment. I took white satin Stampin' Up Ribbon and stamped the "DAD" and the #1 on the backside of it. I first tried it with Memento ink and it bled really bad. Luckily, I had some Colorbox inks. They bled a little but nothing like the Memento Inks. I love how the ribbon matches the "DAD" letters. I finished by adding the same baker's twine on either side.

The photo corners are from an EK Success Punch.

So that is my card in a nutshell! Pretty easy and simple Father's Day Card!

Here are the challenge rules for this week.

In Honor of Memorial Day: Card

Hi! Today, I have a card to share that I made in honor of Memorial day. So many members of our military have sacrificed to serve our country and some have paid the ultimate price. I would like to thank those past, present, and future military members for all they do!!

This card was created with the free promotional Peachy Keen Memorial Day stamp and the thank you stamp. Unfortunately, the thank you stamp is no longer offered, however, the memorial day stamp can be yours if  you purchase Peachy Keen product today! Plus, there is a really great sale going on!

For the flag heart, I first colored it in with Copic Markers and then used Stickles glitter on top.

The card base was cut from the Cricut Cartridge: Simply Charmed @ 5 inches. The brown heart was cut from Cricut Craftroom exclusive: Classroom February and March @ 2.75 inches.

The die cuts for the sentiments both come from My Creative Time.

Here is the information on the Peachy Keen Stamp Sale. It ends tonight @ 11:59 p.m. Central Standard Time!

Layout: We go together like PB & J!

Hi! I have a layout to share with you today!

When I was creating this layout I was inspired by my oldest son and his friend, Sarah. They had so much fun together! Unfortunately being military, Sarah and her family have moved away. So I wanted to create a layout that would remind him of all the wonderful times they had together.

For this layout, I used KaDoodle Bug Designs: PB&J Kids. This is such an adorable group of cut files! I really loved working with them!

I cut each kid out, stamped on a Peachy Keen face, and added white gel pen accents. As you can see, I added American Crafts twine to her hair. I wish I would have had a better color to match her dress but it was pretty close!

The little boy and girl faces come from Peachy Keen's PK-1200 The Moodies Face Assortment. I just LOVE these faces!! If you don't have them yet, they are a definite must!! They go perfectly with the KaDoodle Bug cut files or any cut files! Look how cute they made these kid faces!
PK-1200 The Moodies Face Assortment

The pieces of bread they are holding were each cut out, outlined with coordinating Copic Markers, stamped with a Peachy Keen face, added white gel pen accents, and then finished with putting Inkessentials Glossy Accents on top. I just couldn't seem to get a picture with out them giving off a glare. So this was the best picture I could get.

The PB & J bread faces both come from Peachy Keen's PK-127 Sandwich Fun!

PK-127 Sandwich Fun!

The PB & Jelly jars came out great! I outlined each one with coordinating Copic markers and added white gel pen accents.

The labels on them came from My Creative Time's Stitched Curly Label Die and Curly Label Die.

The PB and Jelly was stamped with Peachy Keen's PK-156 Lucy's ABC's and 123's Solids. I was so glad to fit both onto the labels to incorporate into the title of the layout!

I am not used to not adding any photographs to my layouts but I'm giving it a try. My blank photo mats come from My Creative Time's Stitched Journal Die.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Cute as can bee: Shaped Card

Hi! Hope you are all having a fantastic weekend!

Today, I have a shaped card to share with you!

Also, I'm very excited to announce that I am now on the KaDoodle Bug Design Team!

Isn't she just the cutest?!

This adorable little bee girl and hive comes from the KaDoodle Bug Designs: Buzzy Bee Kids cut files. They have so many great files and so easy to work with!!

To create the card base, I welded two hives together.

For the hive, I first outlined it with a Y35 Maize Copic marker and then put black gel pen accents. I then popped up the three pieces using Recollection's pop dots.

For the little bee girl, I added the face from Peachy Keen's PK-1200 The Moodies Face Assortment. I colored the eyes in with a white gel pen and then colored them with a YG41 Pale Cobalt Green Copic marker. I added white get pen accents to her body and head. I also added Inkessentials Glossy Accents to her eyes and antennae.

The flowers are from the Paper Studios paper flowers. I cut one a part to use in her hair. The twine is from American Crafts.

I finished this card by adding faux stitching around the base and adding the sentiment from Peachy Keen's PK-195 Honey Sentiments.

P.S. I have a couple of sales I would like to let you know about. They are both amazing and great deals!

SVG Cutting Files with Peachy Keen Stamps Blog Hop

Hi, Emily here! Welcome to another fun blog hop! Today the Design Team members for Peachy Keen Stamps are getting to work with the fabulous Design Team for SVG Cutting Files!

SVG Cutting Files have wonderful cutting files and your Peachy Keen Stamps will work great with them.

If you've come from talented Candace's Blog then you are in the right spot.

For my first project, I used the fun Kawaii Milk and Cookies Gift Box Slider set. This set is so cool! Please go to the SVG cutting files website to see Annie Kelly's version. It is so cute!!

I added some chocolate chips to the slider part and then added glossy accents on each chip. I wanted to give it the melted chocolate look.

For the cookie face I used PK's 4" Happy Lashes with open mouth and tongue out. I thought it was a perfect face for this cookie.

The cow, milk bottle, and sentiments all come from the new PKSC-17 May Stamp of the Month Set.

The milk letters were stamped from PK's Lucy's ABC's and 123's Solids

For this next project, I used the Jack Be Nimble file and the Play Ball file. The little boy is from Jack and his soccer shoes are from the Play Ball file. I think he turned out great.

For the little boy face I used PK's Boy Mates and merged two faces.

The "Thank you" sentiment was an exclusive stamp for purchases PK products.

The "Coach" sentiment also comes from Lucy's ABC's and 123's solids.

The "You're the Best" sentiment comes from PKSC-08 August 2012 Stamp of the Month set.

This next project, I used the Wedding file. It has all kinds of fun wedding cuts such as this couple, a ring, a dove, and more.

The card base comes from the Ornate Card Base file.

SVG Cutting Files has a lot of other great card bases! Make sure you check them all out along with all their other great files!

I created this card for my cousin who is getting married this weekend. I'm so excited for her!

For the groom face, I used PK's Retro Faces.

For the bride face, I used PK's Laughy Taffy faces.

For the sentiment, I used PK's Love Birds and Sentiments.

We will be giving away two $35 Gift Certificates (1 from PKS and 1 from SVG Cutting Files) for each day of the hop. So make sure you visit each blog and leave a comment! What great prizes to be won!

Happy Mother's Day!: Card

Hi!! Today, I have created a mother's day card!! I just love how this little girl turned out.

I created this cute little card using the new Peachy Keen Stamps that were just released on Sunday. I used PK-209 Life is Good Babies for the eyes and tiny flower on the flowerpot.

The flower in her hair comes from the PK-208 Hey Baby set and the sentiment comes from the PK-206 Female Floatin' Frog set.

The sweet little girl is a cut file from Kadoodle Bug Designs called Summer Breeze Sabrina. The flowers she is holding is from another cut file from KBD called Bunny with flowers.

The card base is cut from Cricut's Art Philosophy Cartridge. I made it a 5" x 7" card to fit in an envelope I already had.

The die cut for the sentiment comes from My Creative Time's Vintage Stitched Label.

Other products used:

Memento Rose Bud and Tuxedo Black Inks
White Gel Pen
Copic Markers
Inkadinkadoo Chalking Inks
American Crafts Pink Baker's Twine
Recollection Pearls

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Thanks for stopping by and happy creating!

P.S.

All of these stamps are available in the Peachy Keen Store and they are having a great introductory sale on each and everyone!!
